About ...

I work in the IT field, with no connection to vehicle restoration.
I never imagined I'd completely restore a 2CV, nor would I self-publish this adventure.
Four years ago, my vehicle's lease expired. It was also the time when announcements were made about the end of internal combustion engines and the headlong rush to electric vehicles. I was perplexed, not to mention the exorbitant prices.
I entertained the idea of buying a roadworthy 2CV. At that point, I browsed various websites and repair channels. I began to get a sense of the budgets charged and what the costs entailed.
I visited a seller to "see" what to expect for €4,000. Overall, the prices seemed excessive given the vehicle and, above all, its condition. I'm giving up on buying a 2CV and turning to a Twingo 1.
Furthermore, the bodywork, mechanics, and paint job are all unfamiliar to me.
Fine! Three months after buying the Twingo, I'll buy the very thing on this site: my 2CV.

Welcome !

Thank you for your visit!

As for self-publishing, it was a coincidence.
A few days after starting the renovation project, I created a WhatsApp group for friends and family interested in following the project's progress.
Through this group, I shared with them the progress of the project through comments accompanied by photos.
I then decided to take these "notes" and record them in a document I called "Histo," a souvenir photo album, in essence!
When it came time to share it, friends and family gave me advice, and I finally reworked this album, which would eventually take the form of an ebook.
Hours of work later, the creation of the website and the ebook was complete.
